Hi… my name is Sondra and I’m an every-day knitter living in High Point, North Carolina.

With some help from my furniture industry husband, I have developed some really unusual, colorful and somewhat whimsical storage cabinets for the needle arts enthusiast… and they’re made from solid wood right here in the good old U.S.A. You can custom-order them in many colors, textures and several different door and drawer designs.

The idea for these cabinets came to us over the last several years when I noticed that our needle arts friends had little in which to store the “stuff” of needle arts. Yarn, needles, patterns, etc. all seemed to be randomly scattered about the house in grocery bags, abandoned carry–on luggage, shoe boxes, or just lying around where ever it was last used…. hmm.

We looked around and found there was really nothing out there in the way of upscale furniture in craft stores or on the internet… and since the main purpose of furniture is storage, we decided to develop these special cabinets to meet the need… and BOY, did we ever hit a nerve!

Many people we talked to wanted a safe and organized place to store knit and crochet needles… away from the kids, grandkids and pets. Most knitters we’ve met seem to have a great sense of humor and so we also decided to add in a few “whimsical” design elements just for fun. You can choose the one you like best.

After several months of prototypes and experimenting with various options, the knitting cabinet and knitting trunk were born…plus we have a few more ideas in the “future development” stage.
